This is the very place.
Yes
Place is ok, staff really nice. The omelet I ordered was good.
Food is amazing! They also serve generous amounts of food. I love their homemade meatloaf. Took like 30 mins to wait on a busy Sunday for our order but it was definitely worth the wait :) I want to come back 👍
I looked around Pleasantville for a bit, looking for a nice dinner. I showed up at the diner because I spotted parking, which seems to be a real issue in town. I walked in, sat down at the counter and waited quietly for 10 minutes while other people walked in after me, were seated and given menus. Not one staff member talked or acknowledged me. The place was about 1/2 full when the couple who came after me were ordering, I walked out. They never even noticed...
Was imagining myself in the dining car of an early 20th century Art Deco Streamliner train, on a leisure trip to take the waters at a spa retreat in the country. Were I the owner, I would have dove fully into the historical fantasy suggested by the decor and served Welsh rarebit and martinis, with the waitresses in Harvey Girl costumes, but perhaps the nostalgia for those days has waned. Overall, a pleasant experience - the food, the town, the name of the diner.
very good food. comfortable surroundings.
WALK AWAY OR BETTER YET RUN AWAY!I HAD BEEN a long time regular customer of The PV Diner, but the other day, I took out an order and when I got home I saw what looked like a cheap, frozen imitation of what I normally get here. What ever the heck I got (??) was SIMPLY HORRIBLE, HARD AS A ROCK AND HAD TO GO INTO THE GARBAGE! When Delicately bringing this to the owner's attention it was met with apathy - THE OWNER COULD NOT CARE LESS! He admitted, they gave me something else than what I ordered AND WALKED AWAY! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T TAKE A CHANCE AND ORDER ANYTHING HERE! LET THE OWNER RUN THIS PLACE INTO THE GROUND!
Great service. Very good food. Excellent place for dinner with kids.
I went to the diner and the staff were slow and considering there was probably less than 10 people in the entire diner the food still took ages and the waiter was not friendly. The lady who took care of my bill was nice yet they charged me $10 more than my meal was and when I rang them up they were rude and didn’t want to acknowledge they had charged me twice. Said they would look at it and call back and never did.. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED OF YOUR MONEY
Best Cobb salad around!
The food and service are very good but get there early on weekends!!Fills up fast.
Great old fashioned diner experience, really decent Greek food.
Attn: Delivery drivers, I was just refused access to their restroom, even though I'm delivering their food to their customers (basically working for them). . I was told "dine in only". They used to let me, so why today the change.. 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️Just FYI.
We ordered at 5:41pm, order being prepared at 6:01, estimated delivery at 7pm. We called at 7:40pm asking about our order, they told us “IT IS ON ITS WAY” now at 8:03pm we have not received our order. We call again, they tell us “OH WE JUST RECEIVED THE NOTIFICATION, IT IS GOING TO TAKE 45 MINS TO PREPARE PLUS DELIVERY TIME” we decided to cancel the order, 3 minutes later we get a delivered notification. We call back again, they tell us they can’t cancel it, we are getting charged for lies and a meal with are not receiving. Horrible customer service, we spoke to Dani who would not connect us to a manager. Then placed us on hold and then just hung up on us. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.
A little slow on the coffee refills, but otherwise wonderful service. The omelette I had was just about the best I've had in a while. Reasonable prices (for Westchester); comfortable decor. Recommend!
Good food and excellent service.
Great service, great food, you can have a nice date or meeting . I recommend it to others. Great place.
The food is always fresh. Servers very pleasant.
Excellent staff. Food was delicious. Will be returning whenever I am in town.
We love this classy, deco diner! We had the avocado Benedict and the traditional lox and cream cheese on a bagel, add capers. Double yum! Couple that with a delightful farmer's market across the street, and you can't have a better Saturday morning!
Avocado in my Eggs Benedict! Delightful and such pleasant service in an iconic setting.
Poorly staffed. Couldn't handle the restaurant being 2/3 full. Took 30 minutes to get dessert. When management was approached they made excuses and no apology. This could have been avoided if they had been up front about being busier than their staff could handle and that they needed extra time. Food was good. Better than expected.
The food was good but there were more flies than i can count. The exotic milkshakes were not even being served which is why we went. Really good service
Ordered food last night. Got a cheeseburger instead of a burger! Horrible! No onions no pickle no taste! Threw it out! Substituted desert....never again
Loved it, great friendly staff. I've never been to a diner that serves alcohol... I'll take it, salud!
We waited two years to give this place a second chance. Our first meal was ruined when an overage lobster was placed on the table next to us. The whole diner stunk of dead seafood. How they had the nerve to serve such an obviously smelly dish (I saw the waiters face when he passed by) just because it's an expensive item?So we tried it last week for something more filling then the Starbucks next door. I ordered a French Dip roast beef sandwich. I also asked for a side of gravy to dip my fries. The Au Jus sauce was dish water. The sandwich would have been inedible if not for the extra gravy. We were in a rush so I didn't complain, going to a class by at Zwilling cooking school (5+ stars!!).My advice stick to Starbucks, or go north one block.
Always reliable diner cuisine. Pleasant wait staff. Friendly place for comfort food.
Ordered 2 eggs with potatoes and wheat toast, no butter. My eggs had a hair in them and the potatoes were the blandest I've ever had. Couldn't seem to find a trace of an onion or pepper in the potatoes. I was charged separately for coffee. Can't remember once in my lifetime of 55 years being charged separately for coffee ($3 for 1 coffee) with breakfast at a diner. I didn't mention any of it to the sever or the host, just won't be going back.
Food is great but prices have gone up but I still come here. Staff are great and they treat you like family. Only down fall is parking but its worth it.
I was in there for lunch on a rainy day around 230pm. Not generally a busy time. Not only did it take a long time to receive my order, it was not the food I ordered so I had to wait again while it was corrected (and I just ordered a turkey sandwich). Also , i had to ask for place settings....napkins, knife, fork. It appeared to me that customers had to ask for this as there were none on any of the tables.
Good food, good service.
The diner is classic, from the decor to the menu. I highly recommend their beef chili: it has tons of flavor, spice, meat, and cheese on top. The staff is friendly, efficient and accommodating.
If you're looking for a diner with good food, reasonable prices, and great service, this is not it. Good news though, the Thornwood Diner, on the same road a mile and a half away, is excellent in all categories. Bon appetit.
Casual, comfortable atmosphere. Good food in generous portions. Very friendly staff. Family owned, family oriented. It's the perfect classic diner experience.
Classic diner food. Has a small but decent beer list. Cant go wrong with this. Has options for vegans and people with allergies.
Breakfast was good. Pancakes were delicious, service was quick. Home fries weren't that great. Overall nice diner, atmosphere and friendly service.
Order on Grubhub! I didn’t receive a fork or napkins, and the food wasn’t hot. I was very unsatisfied
Not like it used to be...love the soups though. Like all the other diners in the area they have gotten a little too expensive for what you get. Nonetheless I go there once in a while.
Great specials, customer service 🍽️🍯
Great place to meet for breakfast!
Great place to have breakfast. The western omelette is my favorite. Portion are big, so get ready to ready a lot. Staff is very attentive and friendly. The location is right across the street from the train station.
Great burger, good service.
Stopped here on our drive from Maine to Florida: the kids loved it. Children’s pancakes was an order of small pancakes, which was great. It’s tough when a kid has one large pancake to attempt to cut up etc. the little ones were great for them.
Nice for a quick bite that isn't fast food. Good service
I've eaten at many better diners over the years than this one. Food isn't great. Staff not so friendly.
Nice wait staff and good food. They were out of the half roasted chicken but what they did have (See pics) was awesome! The grilled chicken was tender and tasted great.
Took my grandson here for a quick bite. I had an egg white omelet, it was very good. He enjoyed his food as well. The food was reasonably priced and service was fast & friendly.
50's atmosphere/ very clean,/ food and service good
The food was great, hot and quick for a grp of 10. Servers c have been friendlier.
Hot coffee, served quickly! Need I say anymore...I will! Great omelet, friendly service and a clean bright restaurant. Easy streetside parking and reasonable pricing. Recommend!
This site is my favorite restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to that place. everytime I feel like having a delicious dinner, this restaurant comes immediately to my mind. fresh and all sorts of food and a rich menu.helpful staff members, and great spirit. In addition to that, the price is reasonable. I recommend this place with no doubt.
